Barbara Mary Logan of Beaufort, South Carolina passed away September 17, 2023, after an extended
illness.
Barbara was born on January 31, 1950, to Thomas and Shirley (Sherwood) Logan in Patuxent River,
Maryland. Growing up she went with her family wherever the Navy took them, from Kwajalein in the
Marshall Islands to Bay Head New Jersey and many points in between. With this as a background,
Barbara acquired a love for travel and new experiences. She graduated from Staples High School,
Westport, Connecticut in 1967.
She is remembered for her generosity, lifelong dedication to the environment and compassion for
animals. To have Barbara as a friend was to have a friend for life. She spent many years in Las Vegas,
Nevada working in the gaming industry before moving to Beaufort, South Carolina to care for her
parents.
Barbara is predeceased by her father, Thomas Logan, mother, Shirley and brother Michael. She is
survived by sisters-in-laws, Cyndi and Suzanne, brother, Geoff and many friends.
Services are private. Any donations in her memory can be made to an animal welfare or other
organization of your choice.
