Barbara Kay Olendorf

Barbara Kay Olendorf, 80, of Point South, wife of William Carr Olendorf, Jr entered eternal rest Sunday July 30, 2023 at MUSC in Charleston. Barbara was born in Red Bud, IL, daughter of the late Curtis and Essie Cowan. Barbara was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and Christian; as well as, owner of the KOA campground at Point South along with her husband William and daughter Jennifer.
Barbara is survived by her husband, William C. Olendorf, Jr of 57 years, daughter Julie D. Risher and husband William R. Risher, daughter Jennifer D. Mason and husband William H. Mason, II, of SC. Grandson Joshua C. Mason and wife Briana V. Mason, of Ga. Brother Kenneth Cowan and wife Glenda Cowan of Chester, IL.
She is preceded in death by her first husband Eugene Horner, son Mark E. Olendorf, grandsons Mark Philip and Mitchell William Mason, four brothers and a sister.
A memorial service for Barbara will be held Sunday August 13, 2:00 pm at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Ridgeland, SC. Burial will follow at Beaufort Memorial Gardens in Beaufort, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: MUSC Children’s hospital in Charleston, SC to honor her and her love of her grandsons Philip and Mitchell.
