Betty Ann Porter Dietrich

Betty Ann Porter Dietrich, 82, passed away May 14 in Beaufort, SC.
Born in Chester County, SC to Aron and Mosanna Porter, she was the youngest of nine children. She was predeceased by her husband William, brothers Sonley, John, Joe, and Phillip, sisters Lillie and Dorothy, and grandson Stephen.
In addition to her brother Walter Lee, she is survived by sisters Catherine and Juanita. She is also survived by her children, Jeff (Doris) of Eljay, GA, Terri Moose (Lindsay) of Inman, SC, Denise Shuford of Beaufort, and Greg (Terry) of Ft. Wayne, IN, 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Betty bravely fought numerous illnesses, including dementia. Her spirit was bright until the end. Her passing leaves a huge void in her family, but she will live on in countless memories.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 24 at 10:00 am at Beaufort National Cemetery.
