BEAUFORT, SOUTH CAROLINA - Betty Jo Clay Light, 68, of Beaufort, South Carolina and widow of John Livingston Light, died Saturday, April 12, 2014, at Summit Place of Beaufort.
Mrs. Light was born in Glen Daniel, West Virginia. She was a daughter of the late Sherman and Annis Daniel Clay. Mrs. Light was a retired social worker for the Salvation Army.
Surviving are a son, Jeff Light and wife Katrina; a grand-daughter, Abigail Light, and one sister, Peggy Hartung.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock Tuesday at Copeland Funeral Service - One Copeland Drive.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at Beaufort National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family request that contributions be made to the Salvation Army - 2505 North Street, Beaufort, South Carolina 29902.
