Cecilia Cain

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cecilia Cain, beloved mother,
grandmother, and great-grandmother. She joins her husband Kenneth, brother Cecilio, sister Anita, and many family and friends in heaven.
Cecilia passed away peacefully on May 8th at the age of 84.
Cecilia was born on December 12, 1938 in El Paso, Texas. She lived a full life, and her legacy will
be remembered by her family and friends for generations to come. As a military wife, she moved
around the country with her husband and family.
She is survived by her brother Marcos Lucero in El Paso, Texas and her five children: Cathy, Gloria, Leah, Kendra, and Kenny, and her adopted son Michael.
Cecilia was a grandmother to 11 grandchildren: Michael, Cassandra, Alyssa, Jeremy, Nathan, Ashley,
Rebekkah, Alexis, Jonethan, Aiden, and Marley.
Her love and warmth
extended to her great-granddaughter Freya and future great grandson Loki.
Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all those she touched, and she will be deeply
missed by all who knew her. Rest in peace, Maria Guadalupe Cecilia Benavides Lucero Cain.
A memorial Mass will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 18, 2023 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 70 Lady's Island Drive, Lady's Island. Burial will follow at 12:00 noon at Beaufort National Cemetery.
