Darrell J. Simmons, 73, of Lady's Island and husband of Susan Williams Simmons, died Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Beaufort Memorial Hospital.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 47 years are a daughter, Lisa Simmons-Pender; a son, Derek J. Simmons; grandchildren, Zach, Evan, Lila, and Tali Simmons, and his dogs, Doc and Lilly.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to an animal rescue of your choice.
