Daurel Brown Bebber, 81, died Sunday, January 9, 2022 at her home in Beaufort, SC.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, January 28, 2022, at Sea Island Presbyterian Church, Lady's Island, SC. She will be interred alongside her husband, Robert W. Bebber, who preceded her in death, at the Sea Island Presbyterian Church Columbarium.
Daurel was born on August 14, 1940 in Marengo, IA, the daughter of Carroll and Wilma Brown. She graduated from United Township High School, the University of Iowa, and Florida State University with a Master's degree in Library Science. She married Robert W. Bebber in 1963. Daurel began her career as a librarian at Moline High School in Moline, IL. She retired after working as a School Library Media Specialist at Broad River Elementary School in Burton, SC for 33 years. She was an active member of Sea Island Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Tommy G. Brown; her sister-in-law, Danielle Bebber Cheves; and her beloved husband of 50 years, Robert.
Survivors include her son, Matthew (Jamie); her daughter, Holly (Clay) Wallace; and three grandchildren Lilly Wallace, Henry Wallace, and Robert Bebber, whom she adored.
