It is with profound sadness to announce the passing of David “Dave” Lee Beach, Sr., of Myrtle Beach, SC. He died at the age of 70, unexpectedly, after a brief illness on January 22, 2024, with his family by his side.
Dave served his country for over 20 years with honor and valor as a proud member of the United States Army (retired). Following his military career, he transitioned into civilian life, where he taught High School ROTC and ran a construction company before going back to his airborne roots as the Director of Maintenance for various helicopter shops throughout the years. His true passion was flying and maintaining helicopters. His relentless dedication made him the best at what he did. He was an amazing man that touched the lives of everyone he knew, and he will be greatly missed.
Dave is survived by his wife of 40 years, Susan Beach, his son David Beach, Jr. (Christina), his daughter Melissa Beach Rasmussen (Jon), his five grandchildren Abigail, Kaitlyn, Delaney, Hayden and Hailey, and his siblings Beverly, Charles, Donald, and Annette.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Georgia Beach and sister Dolores.
The funeral service will be held with United States Military honors, at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at Beaufort National Cemetery, 1601 Boundary St., Beaufort, SC 29902-3947.
