Dennis K. 'DQ' Quirin, son of the late Edward H. 'Whitey' Quirin, Jr. and Betty Jean Moore Quirin, died on 7/26/18 at his residence after a short battle of cancer; he was 62.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Deborah Russell Quirin; their two sons, David Keith Quirin, Daniel Keith Quirin (wife Helena Paige Bakker Quirin and son Winston Gregory Quirin); brother, Joseph Quinn (wife Carol and their two children, Lisa Tallirico and Joey Quinn); sister, Betty Jean Amadoro (children Johnny Amadoro, Deidre 'DeeDee' Novatnak, Toni Koller and Eddie Amadoro), and brother, Kim Quirin (child China Kim Quirin-Dolley). He is preceded in death by his brother, Edward 'Eddie' Leroy Quirin; his nephew, Mark Quirin, and sister, Barbara Ann 'Bobbie' Williams.

Dennis was born in Miami, Florida, 10/17/55 - he graduated from Battery Creek High 1974. He met his wife in 1977, then married in 1978 and began to study Electricity, A/C & Heating, Appliances, and worked hard to have his own business for the past 15 years. He truly was a Master in all fields of the Service & Repair Industry. Dennis will always be remembered as a kind, caring, and loving man who gave endlessly to his family and his business contacts.

Through the years of his marriage, Dennis devoted time to mastering and loving martial arts, volunteering his time with any adventure his wife got him involved in, such as: The Boy Scouts of America, Beaufort County Public Schools, and Beaufort County Open Land Trust.

Dennis loved the River and the Ocean ' he has spent many years with his family and friends right here enjoying the beauty of Beaufort; he knew at an early age that he would never move from Beaufort. He would always help a friend in need ' never leaving anyone with any woes if he could make it right. Dennis devoted his life to his wife, children and work which all made him happy.

A funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 2 PM at the Baptist Church of Beaufort with a reception to follow immediately after.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you contribute to: American Cancer Society, Baptist Church of Beaufort, Beaufort County Open Land Trust and Hospice Care of the Lowcountry.
