Ellen M. (Murphy-Falsetti) Waughtel 75, of Cuba passed away at 5:51 p.m. Friday, January 15, 2021 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital in Beaufort SC.
She was born Sept 18, 1945, in Cuba, the daughter of Charles C. and Emma Cline (Mowery) Murphy. She married Clayton L. Waughtel Jr., Feb 15, 1997. He preceded her in death Aug 30, 2020. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Charles B. Murphy.
Surviving her is a brother Milton A (Linda) Murphy of Cuba IL, three children, Jo Ellen Anderson of Beaufort SC, Jennifer (Brian) McMillan of McDonough GA, and Jason Falsetti of Havana IL; four stepchildren, Monte (Jeri) Waughtel of Cuba IL, Jay (Robbie Ball) Waughtel of Cuba IL, John (Susie Morgan) Waughtel of Cuba IL, and Valerie (Kevin) Waughtel-White of Cuba IL, one nephew Patrick Murphy of Abington IL, one niece Kathleen (Brian) James of Metamora IL. Ellen was blessed with sixteen Grandchildren and thirty-eight Great-Grandchildren. (Total of 54!)
Ellen was a 1963 graduate of Cuba High School who went on to attend Adrian College in Adrian, Michigan. Where she met her first husband, Gary J. Falsetti of Big Bear CA. Ellen was a devoted member of the Cuba United Methodist Church in Cuba IL where she served on the Women's Aux. Ellen was also a distinguished sister of PEO Chapter CB Cuba IL.
Cremation will be arranged by Henry-Lange Funeral Home of Lewistown, IL and Copeland Funeral Service of Beaufort, SC. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Cuba United Methodist Church, Cuba IL.
