Richard Ervin Gaskins, 79, of Beaufort, SC entered his eternal rest on December 8, 2022 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital.
Richard was born January 23, 1943, and was preceded in death by his parents Huey and Lucille Gaskins. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Jeannette Gaskins, their infant daughter April and his brother Randolph Gaskins.
In his career, Richard was an avid carpet and floor installer. He also was an avid race fan. He attended Beaufort Church of God, was well known in the community and was loved and respected by many.
Richard is survived by his wife Beverley Gaskins, three daughters, Rose Adams Melissa Acton-Martinez, and Jackie Michelle Smith; a sister Mary Disharoon and a brother Albert Gaskins; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at Beaufort Church of God. A memorial service for Richard will follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
