Faye Thomas Norton

Mrs. Faye Thomas Norton, 93, formerly of Beaufort, affectionately called Grammy by many, died Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Baptist Village Retirement Communities in Waycross, Georgia. She was married to the late O.D. "Shorty" Norton. After 25 years of service, she retired from the Beaufort County Treasurer's Office. Survivors include two daughters; Mary Ann Green and husband Charley of Palm Coast, Florida and Nancy Rozier-Bailey of Houston Texas; two daughter-in-laws; Pat Norton of Beaufort, South Carolina and Sherry Norton of Aiken, South Carolina; ten grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons; John C. Norton and Jerry W. Norton and one daughter; Patricia L. Rodriguez. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 o'clock, Monday evening, June 23, 2014 at Copeland Funeral Service. A graveside service for Mrs. Norton will be held 10:00 o'clock, Tuesday morning, June 24, 2014 at Beaufort National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's  Association - Post Office Box 96011, Washington, DC  20090-6011.
