Julius Paul Howe, First Sergeant United States Marine Corps (Retired), 92, of Lady's Island and husband of Mary LaPlante Howe, died Thursday, November 15, 2018, at Veterans Victory House in Walterboro, South Carolina.
Mr. Howe was born in Lodi, Ohio on May 8, 1926 to the late Russell and Dorothy Myers Howe. He served in the United States Navy in WWII in the Pacific, later joining the United States Marine Corps serving his country in Korea and Vietnam. Mr. Howe was later employed by the United States Postal Service.
He was predeceased by his sons, Richard, James, Steven and David Howe; a daughter, Valerie Howe Adkins; two brothers and five sisters.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, William, Michael, Paul, and Timothy Howe; daughter, Maralee Howe Goode; many grandchildren; nieces and nephews; two brothers, and five sisters.
A graveside service, with United States Marine Corps Honors, will be held at 10 Tuesday morning, November 20, 2018, at Beaufort National Cemetery.
