Frances Lynn Shelton, 80, of Beaufort, and widow of Richard Calvin Shelton, died Friday, December 17, 2021 at Ridgeland Nursing Center.
Frances was born January 8, 1941 in Morocco, Indiana to Harold and Blanche Doehring. Frances loved to spend time with family, cook, go to AMVETS post 70 for karaoke, and spend time with her best friends, Lillie and Betty.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband and WWII veteran, Richard Calvin Shelton, and a brother and sister.
Surviving her is one brother, Harold G. Doehring Jr.; two sisters, Dorothy Todd (Doug) and Jean McCroan; her children, Teresa Wilmoth of Dundee, FL, Mary Wilmoth of Kissimmee, FL, Janice Shelton of Beaufort, SC, Richard Calvin Shelton II (Penny) of Savannah, GA, and Rebecca Tupy (Tom) of Chandler, AZ, 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at Beaufort National Cemetery at 1 o'clock Tuesday, December 21, 2021.
A Celebration of Life will immediately follow the service at AMVETS post 70 - 1831 Ribaut Road, Port Royal.
