Gisela Weiler born July 14, 1937 in Germany to Hans and Martha Wittern. She later settled in Bellmore, New York as a young child with her parents.
Gisela a stay at home mom for most of her life; her children were the love of her life. She later worked for the Town of Hempstead, in the Receiver of Taxes office. She was an avid bingo and golf player and enjoyed taking trips down to Atlantic City. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting blankets she would then give to her loved ones.
Gisela departed this life, Tuesday, May 21, 2024 and was preceded in death by her parents, brother Walter and grandson, Matthew.
She is survived and leaves to cherish her memory; siblings, sister Greta and brother Rolf. Her four children, Maureen, Carol aka “Cookie”, Deborah, and son Walter. Her 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to ASPCA or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, two organizations she held dear to her heart.
Cremation services will be privately held.
Copeland Funeral Service is assisting the Weiler family with arrangements.
