Grace Williamson

Grace D. Williamson was born on October 10, 1938, to Mr. Hugh P. Cook and Mrs. Jennie Lee Cook in Beaufort, South Carolina. Grace showed her true strength and perseverance when she beat breast cancer and went into remission in 2005. Unfortunately, the cancer came back, and even though she fought her hardest, Grace lost her second courageous battle and passed away on February 9, 2023. She was the widow of Staff Sergeant Stephen J. Angelillo, USMC, and Gunnery Sergeant Carl L. Williamson, USMC. She is survived by five children, Stephen, Bruce, Theresa, Phillip, and Christina, as well as eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Throughout her life, Grace understood what it truly meant to be kind to others and to treat them how they wanted to be treated. She had an undeniably precious soul that was a privilege to experience in everyday life. Her presence, light, and warmth will be heartily missed by all that knew her.
The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Friday, February 17, 2023, at Copeland Funeral Service (1 Copeland Drive, Beaufort, SC 29902).
The funeral service for Grace will be held graveside at 11:00am on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Beaufort Memorial Gardens.
