Gunnery Sergeant David M. Bilyeu, United States Marine Corps (Ret.), 66, of Beaufort, South Carolina and husband of Kathleen Rodriguez Bilyeu, died Monday, October 18, 2021, at Beaufort Memorial Hospital.
David was a son of the late Robert E. Bilyeu, Sr. and Dorothy A. Hackney, a brother of Robert Bilyeu Jr. (Brenda), Frank Bilyeu (Lynette), the late Thomas Bilyeu and sister Terry Greenwell all of Decatur, IL. David was the father of Keesha Alvis (Chris), William Ploss (Amy) and the late Krysti Ploss and the grandfather to Andrew and Aarin Alvis, and William and Austin Ploss. David also has lots of nieces and nephews and extended family.
David was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Thomas, and his daughter, Krysti Ploss.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, October 22, 2021, at Copeland Funeral Service - One Copeland Drive.
A graveside service will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, October 22, 2021, at Beaufort Memorial Gardens with United States Marine Corps honors.
