Harry Kenneth 'Ken' Fasick, 84, of Lady's Island, South Carolina and husband of Louise Annette Pevey Fasick, died Saturday morning, May 22, 2021, at his home.
Born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Walter Kenneth Fasick and the late Pearl Viola Rhodes Fasick. Ken graduated Williamson Free School of Mechanical Trades, now Williamson College of the Trades, in 1957 as a Power Plant Operator. He began working as a Student Engineer with Savannah Electric and Power, which is now Georgia Power. Ken retired as Plant Manager of Plant McIntosh in Rincon Georgia after 37 years with Georgia Power. In one of his company employee reviews, his supervisor wrote 'Ken had the diplomacy of a sledge hammer; however, he got the job done.' He was very smart at everything he did. Ken enjoyed woodworking, gardening, boating and shrimping. His greatest love was his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Holland.
Survivors include his wife of almost 48 years, Louise Annette Pevey Fasick; two sons, Douglas Brian Fasick of Garden City, Georgia, and Jeffrey Walter Fasick of Columbia, South Carolina, and two nieces.
At his request no service is planned.
