Harvey Taylor, 69, of Lady's Island, and widower of Shirley Taylor, died Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at Beaufort Memorial Hospital.
Harvey was born in Hornersville, Missouri to the late William Harvey and Nora Evelyn Harville Taylor. He transferred from Holland, Michigan to Beaufort due to his work in the pigment industry. Harvey had a love for wood working and making clocks.
He is survived by his daughter, Tina Gourrier; step-children, Tracey Henry and Cornelius Massey; four brothers, the Reverend Patrick Henry Taylor, Dan Taylor, Ervin Taylor, and Rick Taylor; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a special friend, Deborah Webb.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 12 noon until 3 o'clock Saturday, May 8, 2021, at the home - 101 Wade Hampton Drive on Lady's Island, South Carolina.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or www.headforthecure.org , which is a brain cancer cure research organization.
