Hazel Lanier passed away in the morning hours on Tuesday, February 7, 2023.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 64 years Hebert Wayne Lanier. She was predeceased by a son Richard W. Lanier.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Mona Lanier Howard, (Frank Wynn Howard Jr) and a son Rondall Wade Lanier (Lori J Correll Lanier); grandchildren Andrew McClain Howard (Antonia), Evan Lanier Howard (Rhiannon Rae Howard), Marshall Owen Howard, Somer Chaise Lanier, and Nicholas Wade Lanier; her great grandchildren, Wesley Edward Howard, Bradley Anthony Howard, Charlotte R Howard, Genevieve M. Howard, Noah Wade Lanier and Mattilynn Jane Lanier.
Hazel accepted Christ in her younger years and never looked back. She attended King Street Church of Christ for many years and was a strong advocate for doing things God's way based on his word. Her wit, wisdom, and faithfulness will be sorely missed.
The funeral service for Hazel will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 9, 2023 in the Chapel of Copeland Funeral Service – One Copeland Drive, Beaufort. Burial will follow at Beaufort Memorial Gardens.
