Henry R. Giese,

Henry R. Giese, Jr., husband of Helen Giese, died on February 20, 2018, after a 3 month illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Agatha & Henry Giese, Sr. and his brother, Thomas.

Henry is survived by his wife, Helen; his daughter, Alexandra; sons, Martin, Michael, Mark and his daughter-in-law, Sonja, and his grandchildren, Michael & Joseph Dinon, Phillip, Lukas and Annika Giese.

Henry was a faithful Roman Catholic and belonged to St. Peter's Catholic Church. He was a 53 year member of the Knights of Columbus #5026. Henry served with the United States Marine Corps and retired as M/Sgt. He served in Korea, where he was awarded the Purple Heart, and also in Vietnam. He also was a retiree from the United States Postal Service.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 6:30 Sunday, February 25, 2018, at Copeland Funeral Service - One Copeland Drive. A Rosary service will be held at 6:30 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 Monday, February 26, 2018, at St Peter's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at 12 noon at Beaufort National Cemetery with United States Marine Corps Honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Peter's Catholic Church or School - 70 Lady's Island Drive, Lady's Island, South Carolina 29907 or the Knights of Columbus #5026 - Post Office Box 241, Beaufort, South Carolina 29901 or to Friends of Caroline Hospice - 1110 13th Street, Port Royal, South Carolina 29935.
