BEAUFORT, SOUTH CAROLINA - Jane Elizabeth McCausland, 70, of Beaufort, died Saturday, July 21, 2012 at her residence.
She was born March 8, 1942, in Charlotte, N.C., daughter of the late William Ross McCausland and Helen Moss McCausland.
Jane spent her early years in York, South Carolina and later raised her two sons in West Islip, New York. She was a long time resident of Columbia, South Carolina, retiring in Beaufort, South Carolina.
Jane's career as a Music Teacher and later a Psychologist gave her the opportunity to give others a better life. She loved animals, flowers and the beach. Her many talents included music, decorating and creating magnificent gardens around her homes.
Jane is survived by two sons, Thomas Christopher Lattimer of Brockport, New York, Joseph Glenn Lattimer of Ashburn, Virginia and a sister, Lucetta McCausland of Charlotte, N.C.
A memorial service for Jane will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 11, 2012 at The Church of the Good Shepard, York, South Carolina. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, York, South Carolina.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her memory to the Church of the Good Shepherd in York, South Carolina.
