Jeanne Elizabeth New Seitz passed away on September 23, 2021, at the age of 56.
Elizabeth is survived by her devoted husband, Christopher Reese Seitz. The Seitz' were married in Dallas, Texas on December 18, 2009. Elizabeth is lovingly remembered by her parents, Fritz and Carolyn New and her sisters, Jennifer (Shuford), Hilary (Doug) and Catherine, and her husband's siblings, Tom (Anna), Mark (Kathleen) and Peter.
Elizabeth was born in Dallas, Texas on December 19, 1965. While an undergraduate at Vanderbilt University, Elizabeth studied abroad and her lifelong love for the French people, language and culture was hatched. Elizabeth earned her undergraduate and doctorate degrees from Vanderbilt. Elizabeth returned to her native Texas where she taught French language and culture at the University of North Texas for nearly a decade. Approximately 15 years ago, she established French Affaires, a firm specializing in all things French. Over the years, she ferried more than 1000 Americans to France for truly unique experiences. In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoyed gardening and gourmet cooking.
Elizabeth's funeral and internment will take place at the Parish Church of St. Helena in Beaufort at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, September 28 with the Rev. Jamie Sosnowski officiating. A reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the LAM Foundation - 4520 Cooper Road, Suite 300, Cincinnati, Ohio 45242.
