Jill Elaine Westbrook Harmuth, 68, passed away on May 4, 2021, after a long struggle with cancer.
A native of Marietta, Georgia, she was the daughter of Cecil Westbrook and Janet Cash Westbrook . Jill graduated from Marietta High School and went on to receive her undergraduate degree and Masters in Library Science from Vanderbilt University. She worked in the libraries of The University of Chicago and Sacred Heart School in Knoxville, Tennessee.
She is survived by her husband Jack; son, Cameron Jolley of Alexandria, Virginia; daughter, Liz (Patrick) Tucker of Vestavia Hills, Alabama; sister Jan (Jack) Byrd, of Sandy Springs, Georgia; brother, Reeves (Robin) Westbrook of Great Falls, Virginia; grandchildren, Cricket, Wesley, and Nathan; and many beloved extended family members and close friends.
Jill's great passions in life were books (she was a born librarian), music of all types, nature, and ceramics (a pretty bowl was always hard to resist). All who knew Jill loved her, and she will be greatly missed.
A remembrance and celebration of her life will be held at 10am on June 16, 2021, at First Presbyterian Church - 410 Church Street, Beaufort, South Carolina.
