John Sams Colquhoun, born on November 14, 1954 in Beaufort, SC to Therese Sams Colquhoun and Jack Colquhoun, passed away September 18, 2023 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. He was a lifelong member of Saint Peter’s Catholic Church.
John is survived by his daughter Caroline Colquhoun, two grandchildren, Lilah Alexander and Oliver Michael Kish, his mother Therese Colquhoun, his brother Arthur Randolph Colquhoun, and many nephew, nieces, and cousins. He is predeceased by his sister Therese Colquhoun Reed.
The funeral service will be held at the historic St. Peter’s Catholic Church on Carteret Street Monday, September 25, 2023 at 10 am. Burial will follow in the Church graveyard. The family will receive friends at the family home on 809 Hamilton Street, following burial. Gifts may be given in memory of John Colquhoun to St. Peter’s Catholic Church for preservation of the Historic Chapel.
