ST. HELENA ISLAND, SOUTH CAROLINA - Johnny Lee Mills, 64, of St Helena Island, South Carolina, died Sunday, July 3, 2011, at his residence.
Born in Atlanta, Georgia, he was a son Evelyn Phillips Mills and the late John W. Mills Jr. Johnny was formerly employed with Wal-Mart in Beaufort and attended Tidal Creek Fellowship. He was loved by all.
Surviving are his mother of St. Helena Island; brothers and sisters, David Mills and his wife, Lynn, Susan "Ma" Hicks and her husband, Danny, Denise Hamrick and her husband, Terry, and Randy Mills and his wife, Donna; several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews, and his cat, Badger "Baby".
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 Wednesday evening at Copeland Funeral Service - One Copeland Drive.
The funeral service will be held at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the chapel of Copeland Funeral Service Chapel with The Reverend David Holland and The Reverend Heather Prince-Doss officiating. Interment will be in Beaufort Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Anthony Mills, Brian Mills, Corbin Mills, Scott Mills, Shane Hicks, Tyler Hicks and Michael Hicks.
