Joseph John MacAvin, 57, of St. Helena Island and son of Ann Smith MacAvin, died Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at his residence.
A memorial mass will be held at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning, December 20, 2017, at St. Peter's Historical Catholic Church on Carteret Street in Beaufort. Following the service there will be a reception at Johnson Creek Tavern, 2141 Sea Island Parkway, St. Helena Island.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to Chef Joe by visiting gofundme.com.
