June Knight Rupp

June Knight Rupp, 79, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2016, surrounded by her husband and children. She was born on April 25, 1936, in Trenton, New Jersey to Robert and Evelyn Knight. June graduated from Shaker Heights High School in 1954. After high school, she attended Miami of Ohio University and graduated from St. Luke's Nursing School in 1957. June married George in 1959, and they were happily married for 56 years. June's greatest love was her family. As a homemaker and registered nurse, she served others. She volunteered for many causes, including most recently the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). She enjoyed reading, synchronized swimming, tennis, and the beach. Her enormous personality, selflessness and dedication to her family, along with her amazing sense of humor and beautiful smile will be greatly missed. June is survived by her husband George, and her six children, Bob, Bill, Tom, Lisa, Laurel and Kris. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Will, Jordan, Hunter, Delaney, Rachel, Kyle and Avery. A private graveside service will be held at Beaufort National Cemetery.
