Katrina 'Kay' Kneller Gorse, 89, of Fripp Island, South Carolina and widow of August H. Gorse III, died Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at her home.
Kay was born September 5, 1931 to the late Grace Lovell and Charles Brandon Kneller. She graduated from the University of Georgia, where she earned her BS in Home Economics. Kay was a member of the Parish Church of St. Helena.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles Brandon Gorse, Jr.
Kay is survived by a son, August Henry 'Sandy' Gorse IV and his wife, Beth; daughter-in-law, Sandra Gorse Bragg; grandchildren, Zack Gorse and his wife, Aimee, Brandon Gorse and his wife, Margaret, and Ashlyn Gorse Cronan and her husband, Jonathan; and great-grandchildren, Augie Gorse, Sullivan Gorse, and Kyleigh Renae Gorse.
A funeral service will be held at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning, July 27, 2021, at the Parish Church of St. Helena. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
