Linda Williamson of Port Royal, a dear friend, loving mother, wife, and sister, passed away on Wednesday, June 15th. Linda's strong faith provided calmness and enormous strength as she battled Parkinson disease over the past few years. Surviving Linda is her loving husband, David Williamson, her children: Susan Parisher, Michelle Flinn, Stephen King, Jennifer Dickinson and JP Williamson along with ten grandchildren. Linda was born in Bath, Maine 72 years ago. She moved to Holliston, Massachusetts for 20 years to raise her children and returned to Maine after they graduated. Linda loved the serenity of the Maine coastline and the peacefulness of the ocean. After David and Linda met in 1996, they immediately realized that they had met their life-long partner. In 2005, Linda and David left the harsh New England winters to relocate to Port Royal, South Carolina. While in Port Royal, Linda became active at Parish Church of St. Helena as a pre-school aide, Christmas Mice Mission worker, and active volunteer. She was also an active member of PEO, Chapter AM and enjoyed the loving relationships with her sisters. Along with being an active member of the YMCA, Linda enjoyed biking with her husband, playing Mah Jong, and the garden club. David and Linda were active sailors in Bath, Maine and are currently members of BYSC. A service is being held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 18th at the Parish Church of St. Helena. Linda will be buried in Maine next to her mother at a later date.
