Loraine Godley, 89, of Beaufort, passed away on January 1, 2023 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital from an extended illness.
Loraine was born February 24, 1933, and was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Verlie Thomas of Hampton. In addition to her parents, Loraine was preceded in death by her husband Jack, whom she married September 8, 1951. She was also preceded by her brothers Medicus and Wilbur Thomas and son Jade Godley.
Loraine is survived by her sons George Godley, Chris (Pam) Godley, and daughter in law Kim Godley. She has 3 grandchildren: John (Erica) Woods, Katelyn (Josh) King, and Ashley (Matthew) Averill. She also had 5 great grandchildren.
A graveside service for Loraine will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 6, 2023 at Beaufort Memorial Gardens.
