Lynn Gustafson Ashton, 67, of Beaufort and widow of William John Ashton, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at Beaufort Memorial Hospital.
Lynn was born in Miami, FL and was a daughter of the late Herbert William and Blanche Catherine Henry Gustafson. Lynn grew up in Syracuse, NY. She was a graduate of Muskingum College, where she met her husband William John Ashton. Lynn was a special education teacher for 12 years before becoming a devoted stay at home mom.
Lynn is survived by a daughter, Kathryn Ashton Medlin and her husband, Henry Lawrence Medlin; two grandchildren, Ashton Lawrence and Holden William Medlin; a sister-in-law, Janet Ashton Light and her husband, Ronnie, and a brother-in-law, David Keith Ashton.
A funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at Community Bible Church - Paris Island Gateway, Beaufort. Burial will follow in Beaufort Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Multiple Sclerosis National Society - Greater Carolinas 3101 Industrial Drive, Suite 210
