Margot Houston Hunt

BEAUFORT - Margot Elizabeth Houston Hunt, 60, of Beaufort, died Friday, January 30, 2015, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law in Bluffton.

Born in Bamburgh England on April 3,1954, she was a daughter of the late Samuel Clarence Houston and the late Lillian Jensen Houston.  Margot retired after more than 30 years from the United States Marine Corps having served in a civilian capacity at the MCCS at Paris Island.  She was of the Baptist faith and also loved solving crossword puzzles.

Surviving are her daughter, Melissa Hunt Fanger and her husband, Scott, of Beaufort; two sons, Christopher Wayne Hunt and his wife, Marisol, of Bluffton and Matthew David Hunt of Texas; her sister, Angela Newman and her husband, Billy, of Texas; her brother, Samuel Houston III and his wife, Patricia, of Texas; seven grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at Copeland Funeral Service - One Copeland Drive.
