It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Mary Rodgers Baron, who passed away peacefully at her home on Brays Island, South Carolina, on December 17, 2024, at the age of 84.
Mary was born in Scotland and immigrated to the United States at the age of 19, where she would go on to build a life full of love, success, and enduring relationships. In her early years, she met and married John "Jack" Rodgers. Together, they raised five children: Bernice, John, Jim, Sharon, and Frances. Jack's passing in 2001 was a tremendous loss, but Mary’s resilience and strength carried her through the years.
In 2006, Mary married Arthur Baron. Their relationship was built on a foundation of affection, mutual respect, and shared joy. Together, they traveled extensively, creating unforgettable memories and experiences. They enjoyed an active lifestyle that included their shared passion for clay shooting, as well as participating in a vibrant social life on Brays Island. They hosted numerous gatherings and were beloved members of their community, often entertaining friends and family. Arthur remained by her side as a devoted and loving partner until the end of her life.
Mary thrived in her professional life as a highly successful realtor in PA, NJ, and SC. Her keen sense of business, and sharp eye for detail made her a standout in her field. She was admired by her clients and colleagues for her outstanding work ethic.
Mary was known for her timeless impeccable sense of style. She was always the best-dressed person in the room. Her vibrant personality and quick wit made her a joy to be around and will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Mary’s legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward the lessons of strength, and grace that she instilled in them. She is also survived by Arthur Baron, her loving husband of nearly two decades, and a large circle of friends and family who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.
Mary will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her love, laughter, and beauty will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
