Mary Elizabeth LaPlante Howe passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, in Beaufort, South Carolina. Mary was born on October 26, 1931 in Northfield, Massachusetts to the late Harold and Faith (Buffum) LaPlante. Mary was a member of Meadowbrook Church of Beaufort.
Mary is predeceased by her husband, Julius P. Howe; sons, Richard, James, David and Steven; her daughter, Valerie Howe Adkins; and her siblings, Lorin, Herbert, Donna, and Francis LaPlante.
Mary is survived by sons, William (Sharee), Michael (Jill), Paul (Julie), Timothy and daughter, Maralee (Ken) Howe Goode; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Ruth Kelly of Massachusetts.
The family will receive friends from 11 until 12:30 Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at Copeland Funeral Service - One Copeland Drive.
A graveside service will be held at 1 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, August 23, 2022, at Beaufort National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Friends of Caroline Hospice or to Meadowbrook Baptist Church.
