Mary "Bunny" Spiers

Mary Rebecca Denise 'Bunny' Buckley Spiers, 85, of Lady's Island, South Carolina and widow of Francis Albert 'Al' Spiers, Jr., died Friday morning, February 23, 2018, at her home.
Born in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Dennis A. Buckley and the late Susan Grace Donnelly Buckley. Bunny was a longtime, active member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. She graduated from Holy Child Academy in Sharon Hill, Pennsylvania. Bunny retired after many years as the Executive Secretary for the Pittsburgh Zone of Chrysler Corporation. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and playing golf.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a step-sister, Joan Ruse, and two step-brothers, James Riehle, OHS and Albert Riehle.
Survivors include her sister, Margaret L. 'Peggy' Buckley of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; her brother, D. Paul Buckley and his wife, Judy, of Silverton, Oregon; her nephew, Christopher Buckley, M.D., and his wife, Denise Chun, M.D., and their children, Makani, Kailea and Kanoa, and her step-daughter, Denise Evangelisto of Altoona, Pennsylvania.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 until 11:30 Thursday morning in St. Peter's Catholic Church.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 Thursday morning in St. Peter's Catholic Church. Interment will be at 1 o'clock Friday afternoon in Beaufort National Cemetery.
Remembrances: Shriners Hospitals for Children - 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, South Carolina 29605 or a charity of the donor's choice.
