BEAUFORT - Michael Eugene Via, 80, of Beaufort and husband of Ellen Weber Via, died Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at his residence.
Mr. Via was born in Virginia and grew up in Baltimore Maryland. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Via is survived by his wife; two daughters, Karen (Dean) Noggle and Linda (Bob) Johnston; three step-children, Sally (Jeff) Brock, Jean (Mike) Litaker, and Steven Piggott; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren, and a brother, William Via.
A memorial service will be held at 1 o'clock Wednesday, August 26, 2015, in the chapel of Copeland Funeral Service - One Copeland Drive.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to Faith Lutheran Church Building Fund - 1812 Boundary Street, Beaufort, South Carolina 29902 or to Bethlehem Lutheran Church - 902 Hitchcock Drive, Aiken, South Carolina.
