Darrell Wayne Lyon, Master Sergeant United States Marine Corps Retired, 69, of Lady's Island and Auburn, New York, husband of Brenda Fitts Lyon, died Thursday, January 25, 2018, at Beaufort Memorial Hospital.
Darrell was born in Cortland, New York and was a son of the late Donald and Dorothy Kraft Lyon. He was a 20 year United States Marine Corps Veteran where he served as a Combat Engineer during the Viet Nam Conflict. He was preceded in death by a sister Tudy Sims.
Darrell is survived by his wife of 36 years; children: Jonathon Mosher, Trevor Lyon, Kimberly Mosher, Mindy Lyon, and Tyler Lyon; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren, and 2 sisters, Darleen Evangalista and Debbie Gardner.
A memorial service will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday, February 11, 2018, in the chapel of Copeland Funeral Service - One Copeland Drive, with full Marine Corps Honors.
Memorials may be made to your local American Legion.
