Myrtle McAlhaney Smith, 90, of Beaufort, South Carolina and widow of Charles Callis Smith, died Monday, January 6, 2020, at River Oaks Residential Care, Port Royal, South Carolina.
Mrs. Smith was born in Varnville, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Robert Lee and Marjorie McAlhaney. She was a member of the Eastern Star and The Baptist Church of Beaufort. She was retired from MCAS after 59 ?? years of service.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, her sisters, and a son-in-law, James Gallion.
Mrs. Smith is survived by two daughters, Judith Smith Blankenship (Steve) and Melanie Smith Gallion; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock Thursday, January 9, 2020, at Copeland Funeral Service - One Copeland Drive.
A funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Friday, January 10, 2020, at The Baptist Church of Beaufort. Burial will follow in Beaufort Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Gideon Bible.
