KINGSLAND, GEORGIA - Robert (Bob) E. Sutton, 81, of Kingsland, Ga., died August 21, at the Veteran's Victory House in Walterboro, S.C. Mr. Sutton was born January 6th, 1930 in Kingsland, Ga. He was the son of Raymond L. Sutton and Lillian Mills Sutton of Kingsland, Ga. he was predeceased by two sisters Willa Mills Gillette and Annette Sutton Taylor. Mr. Sutton was a United States Navy Veteran, serving as an aviation electrician during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Western Dredging Company and later the Fripp Island Company as a dredge engineer. He was an avid sportsman, fishing guide, and outdoor lover. He retired as the superintendent of the Camden County Roads Department in Kingsland, Ga. Mr. Sutton is survived by his former wife and lifelong friend Shirley Sutton of Beaufort; children Robert E. Sutton, Jr. and wife Ginger of Gladstone, NJ, Dan Sutton and wife Kim of Bradenton FL., Mark Sutton and wife Lisa of Port Royal, SC, Mike Sutton and wife Nan of Beaufort and Leisa Jacovich of Fresno, CA; one brother, Ray Sutton and wife Carolyn of Ponte Vedra, FL.; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 17th at the St. Helena Episcopal Church Cemetery, 505 Church Street, Beaufort, SC.
