BEAUFORT, SOUTH CAROLINA - Robert "Rob" W. Trimmier, 59, died Thursday night, June 21, 2012, at his home in Beaufort.
Born in Charlotte, North Carolina on April 20, 1953, he was the son of Virginia Trimmier and the late F. K. Trimmier. He graduated from Beaufort High School and later from the University of South Carolina. He went to work in his father's dealership in various steps and ended up as Finance and Insurance Manager. After the dealership was sold he became an independent insurance agent.
Rob had many passions in his life. He was on the sky diving team at The University of South Carolina and a member of the U. S. Sport Parachute Club with over 400 Jumps. He earned his pilot license, and he enjoyed fishing, shrimping, crabbing, watching football, and Beaufort.
Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Sheila; two sons, Ryan Trimmier and his wife, Lindsey, and Andrew Trimmier; a daughter, Kelsey Wilding and her husband, R. J.; two grandchildren, Knowlton and William Trimmier; his sister, Sandi Amsler and her husband, Phil, and their children, Paige Sprietsma and her husband, Charlie, and Jennifer Talbert and husband, Brad, and their two boys, Anderson and McClure.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock Sunday, June 24th, at Copeland Funeral Service - One Copeland Drive.
A memorial service will be held at 2 o'clock Monday, June 25th, at First Presbyterian Church.
