Ronald 'Ronnie' Gary Barnard of Beaufort, South Carolina died Friday evening, September 30, 2022, at Beaufort Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was a lifelong resident of Beaufort.
Ronnie graduated from the University of South Carolina. Shortly after graduation he returned home to run the family business. Ronnie devoted his whole life to the operation of Barnard Tire Co. Each and every one of his customers were special to him. Ronnie attended Grays Hill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Mary Barnard, and his brother, Charles Edward Barnard.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; stepsons, Bobby Miller and Richard Lucas; stepdaughter, Rachel Muckenfuss; sister, Janice Cappelmann; sister-in-law, Linda Barnard; niece, Carolyn Keiffer (Joey); nephews, Raymond H. Barnard (Linda), John Cappelmann (Bethany) and Tyler Cappelmann (Elena); grand-nieces and nephews; great-grand-nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Lisa Vizcarra.
The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 o'clock Tuesday morning, October 4, 2022, at Grays Hill Baptist Church.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning, October 4, 2022, at Grays Hill Baptist Church conducted by the Reverend Sam Owens and the Reverend Bobby Graves. Burial will follow in Beaufort Memorial Gardens.
