Rose Mary Tiller passed away on May 3, 2022, after an extended illness. She was born in Selma, AL on November 21, 1937, to Raymond & Louise Sanders.
Family meant the world to Rose Mary. She was the oldest daughter in a family with eleven children. She cherished her parents, brothers, sisters and a host of the sweetest aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and so forth that a body could ever dream to have.
Rose Mary loved and was loved by her six boys; David Campbell (Sandy) of Tyrone, GA, Tony Campbell (Crystal) of Columbus, GA, Daniel Egan of Las Vegas, NV, Mark Egan who proceeded her in death, John Egan (Kristy) of Columbia, SC, and Paul Egan (Karen) of Savannah, GA; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. As an extraordinary Mom and Grandma, she was quick to extend her family to share her love with many friends and military families.
Rose Mary and family moved to Beaufort in 1979. She loved the Low Country and always said when she crossed Broad River she was at home. She retired from the Beaufort County Court House as a title searcher and was a longstanding member of Shell Point Baptist Church. She made many wonderful lifelong friends at both.
Her love of Jesus, belief in His saving grace, and passion for the Scriptures made its way into many conversations. She was a soldier in The Salvation Army and supported St. Jude's Children Research Hospital. Rose Mary loved sweets and could eat her weight in chocolate. She was happy to let her family and friends know she was the best looking of any group or gathering she was a part of. She enjoyed happy times, made the most of God's blessings and loved to give people a reason to smile.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to Sprenger Health Care and all the friends who have helped care for Rose Mary over the last several months.
The family will receive friends 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 7th at Copeland Funeral Service.
The funeral service for Rose Mary will be held 3:00 p.m. at Copeland Funeral Service Chapel. Rose Mary will be laid to rest there at Beaufort Memorial Gardens, where her son, Mark Egan, and her husband of 33 years, Thomas Egan, are also interred.
Memorial donations may be made to The Salvation Army.
