Sarah "Anne" Leslie passed away on February 11, 2015, at the Morningside Assisted Living Center in Beaufort, South Carolina at the age of 90.
Anne was born in LaGrange, Georgia on December 22, 1924. She moved to Atlanta area early in life. There she married J. Thomas Welch in 1946 and remained married until his death in 1982. She subsequently married Fred Swan. Following the death of her second husband, she married Paul Leslie who passed in 2012. Anne lived in Cape Coral from 1979 until 2012. Anne was a very active grandmother and great-grandmother in her later years. While living in Cape Coral she traveled to Europe, Central America and various places around the US including Alaska. In Cape Coral, she actively participated in several social groups and volunteered time on a consistent basis at the local Caring Center. Anne had a positive outlook on life and always had a smile for anyone.
Anne is survived by four children and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held in Beaufort, South Carolina with relatives and friends. Her cremated remains will be inurned with her husband, J. Thomas Welch, at Arlington National Cemetery.
