Susan C. Graham, born October 10, 1946 in Beaufort, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at Beaufort Memorial Hospital, Beaufort, S.C., at approximately 11:10 pm, December 22, 2015. Susan was the daughter of the late Emma Lee Williamson and James Thomas Gilbert. She is survived by her stepfather, Francis D. Williamson of Beaufort, S.C., brothers Tommy Gilbert of Tucker, GA. And Walter Gilbert of Hinesville, GA., sisters Deborah Barreto of Okatie, S.C. and Janice DuBay of Beaufort, S.C., daughters Tabitha Lynn Cash of Richmond, VA., Dianna Kathleen Leake of Richmond, VA., and Patricia Melissa, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, close friend and companion Ken Temple, and her pet Chihuahua, Snoop, upon whom she lavished much care and love. Susan was a self-employed as a contract painter for commercial properties and private residences for many years, and before retirement was employed by the Golden Corral in the bakery section, where she created some of the best desserts in Beaufort. For many years, she was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Veterans of Foreign Wars at the local Beaufort V.F.W. Post, and an active member of the Beaufort Church of the Nazarene, where her passion was engaging with the children during Sunday school and Bible study. Her favorite passions included working with arts and crafts, yard sales, being with her beloved friends, and cheering on the South Carolina Gamecocks. A Memorial and Celebration of Life service will be held in the chapel at Copeland Funeral Service, One Copeland Drive, Beaufort, S.C., 2 to 3 o'clock, Sunday, January 3, 2016. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrance gifts in honor of Susan's love for children may be made to the children's program of the Beaufort Church of the Nazarene, P.O.
