The Reverend Robert Keith 'Doc' Burrows, Jr., 62, of Beaufort, South Carolina and husband of Sheila Rose McHenry Burrows, died Friday afternoon, September 4, 2020, at his home with his family at his side.
Born in Gassaway, West Virginia, he was a son of the late Robert Keith Burrows, Sr. and the late Reta Davis Burrows. Doc earned his Bachelor's degree in Ministry from Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and was ordained in the Nazarene Church. He was a former Associate/Youth Pastor of Harvest Hills Church of the Nazarene in Orrville, Ohio for nine years. Doc was a former pastor of Willard Church of the Nazarene in Ohio for fifteen years where he was privileged to also be the chaplain for the Willard Police Department. He answered God's call in 2016 to become Lead Pastor of the Beaufort Church of the Nazarene. Doc enjoyed music, especially playing the guitar and drums. He and Sheila loved to travel and spending time learning the Beaufort area. Doc's greatest love was his time devoted to God, his family, and especially little children and teens.
Survivors include his wife of almost 31 years, Sheila Rose McHenry Burrows; three sons, Adam Burrows and his wife, Rachel, Paul Powers and his wife, Elizabeth, and Ben Powers and his wife, Emily; seven grandchildren, Ayia, Evelyn, Beckett, Bella, Annabel, Clementine and Weston; one sister, Amy Cooper and her husband, Marc; one brother, Timothy Burrows; his mother-in-law, Louvone McHenry, and nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 Saturday morning, September 12, 2020, at Copeland Funeral Service ' One Copeland Drive.
The Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 Saturday morning, September 12, 2020, in the chapel of Copeland Funeral Service conducted by the Reverend Sam Flores. Interment will be private.
