BEAUFORT, SOUTH CAROLINA - Therese "Terry" Colquhoun Reed, 60, of Beaufort, South Carolina, died Thursday, October 4, 2012, at her childhood home after a long illness.
Terry was the daughter of Therese Sams Colquhoun and the late John "Jack" Colquhoun. She is survived by her mother "Ting", four children Dawn Marie Tisdale and husband Doug, Clayton John Jones and wife Naomi, Arthur David Reed, and Timothy James Reed; six grandchildren, Victoria Therese , William Kyle and Erik Charles Daugherty, Cali and Casey Jones, Tucker David Reed. She was predeceased by her grandson Aiden Reed.
Terry is also survived by her devoted brothers, John Sams Colquhoun and Arthur Randolph Colquhoun; a niece Caroline Colquhoun and nephew Robert Colquhoun; her uncle Talbird Reeve Sams and wife Betty, her aunt Jeanne Sams Aimar and late husband Charles, her uncle Robert M. Chiaviello, many loving cousins and friends.
Terry worked many years for "Hospice". She was known for her wonderful sense of humor, her kind and gentle ways, and her deep and beautiful faith.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 6 o'clock Monday afternoon at 809 Hamilton Street, Beaufort, followed by a rosary service at 6:15 o'clock.
A memorial mass will be held at 10:30 o'clock Tuesday morning, October 9, 2012, at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Graveyard - Carteret Street.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Aimar, Toland Sams, Reeve Sams, William Trask, Michael Petorock, Richard Chiaviello, Tom Jenkins, Paul Brewer, Fred Sharpe and Hunter Kinsey.
The family request that memorials be made to St. Peter's Catholic Church, % The Restoration Project for St. Peter's - 70 Lady's Island Drive, Lady's Island, South Carolina 29907.
