DATAW ISLAND, SOUTH CAROLINA - William "Bill" Michael Fournier of Dataw Island, South Carolina died surrounded by family and friends at Beaufort Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, July 10, 2012, after a valiant battle with cancer.
He was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 23, 1944 to Kenneth and Delores Fournier. Bill is survived by wife, Erica; brother, Kenneth; daughters, Shannon, Jamie and Jessamy; sons, Michael and Josh; nephews, Rusty and Scott, and twelve loving grandchildren.
Bill was a financial advisor with Hand and Tanner and retired from the United States Marine Corps as a CWO4. He was a graduate of Michigan State University and a faithful member of Tidal Creek Fellowship and Sea Island Rotary. Bill was a military buff and recently visited Gettysburg, Manassas and Fort Sumter, which were on his bucket list. He loved his family, friends, his dog, sailing, golf, and giving historical buggy tours in downtown Beaufort.
The family will be receiving friends on July 13th at 1:30 o'clock prior to a memorial service at 3 o'clock at Tidal Creek Fellowship - 290 Brickyard Point Road on Lady's Island.
