William "Bobby" Harrelson

William “Bobby” Harrelson, 62, of Beaufort, South Carolina passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023. He
was born on July 3, 1960 in Conway, South Carolina, to Marvel Harrelson and the late Maxie Harrelson.
He was a lifelong Forester in North and South Carolina. He was a lover of NASCAR, fishing, and spending
time with his family. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 23 years, Shirley Close; son, Bobby Alan Harrelson (Tina); son, Gary
Harrelson ( Amy); son, William “Tater” Harrelson (Destiny); son, Michael “Bubba” Close (Jenna);
daughter, Rachel Comer (Jamie); son, Josh Comer (Miranda); grandchildren, Calab Hughes (Rose), Austin
Harrelson, Haley Harrelson, Aubrey Harrelson; sisters, Tammy Harrelson Lee (Kerry), Linda Harrelson,
Lee Ann Smith (Chris) ; mother, Marvel Harrelson; and many nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in
death by his father Maxie Harrelson.
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 2:00 PM followed by a Memorial Service at 3:00 PM
at Copeland Funeral Service located at 1 Copeland Drive, Beaufort, SC 29902. In lieu of flowers
donations can be made to American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
